A single-plot wine from the oldest vineyard at the winery, dating back to 1908. Recovered through Spain’s first winegrowing-recovery crowdfunding project.
Tasting notes
Power, elegance and strength within a bottle.
A sweeping entry on the palate, where notes of plum, redcurrant and strawberry jam mingle with glycerol; bold and rounded.
Its time in oak and subsequent rest in bottle have polished and softened the variety’s natural tannins.
An estate wine from a plot where half a hectare of century-old Garnacha Tintorera has been recovered on slate soil.
Winemaking
Controlled fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, then rested in new 225-litre French oak barrels.
Age of the vines: Over 100 years.
Number of bottles: An estate wine — between 1,500 and 2,000 bottles are made in good-harvest years.
It is not made every year, only when the harvest is exceptional.
